I am all for trying new stuff. Especially beauty products. All this testing, helps me figure out what works for me (and what doesn’t). So through trial and error I now know which products fit my needs. So let’s go through my ‘make up winning team’.

With some foundations I’ve noticed that my skin gets oily at the end of the day. Especially the area around my nose. To battle that I discovered that a face primer does wonders for me. My current fave is the ‘Matte primer’ by BE Creative Make Up. A dear friend of mine introduced me to this brand and I fell in love with their products since then. (And no…I am not paid to say this!)

About a month ago I heard that BE Creative Make Up now has expanded their range of foundation shades. YAY! So now, there are three shades for brown skinned women. I know, I know…it’s not a lot, but you know I had to try em out, right? I must admit, this make up brand has continued to impressed me. This Feather Finish Matte Foundation gives me that polished matte finish and the coverage I want, without looking cakey. I don’t know how they did it, but the foundation also gives a luminizing glow. So thumbs up!

Being a new mom, means enjoying the fabulous moments with my wonderful little boy. But it sometimes means getting less sleep than I was used to. To keep me looking fresh, I use the MAC Mineralize Concealer onder my eyes. And if I’m in the mood for some über neat eyebrows, I also use this concealer to accentuate the shape of my brows.

I’m not born with full eyebrows and my natural shape is not that fly. So I usually use a brow pencil to shape and fill in these bad boys. The pencil I’ve been using for years is the eyebrow pencil from HEMA (a Dutch brand). This one has a spoolie at the end, which makes shaping a breeze. In order to create the natural brow I want, I always make sure the pencil is sharpened. I recently discovered that the ‘Sleek’ brow kit also does wonders for me. So not one but two brow faves!

I don’t mind paying some extra Euros for good beauty products, but I always do a happy dance when I find affordable make up with great quality! For a long time I was feeling the Colour X-Pert Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner by Max Factor. Not that cheap. But then I discovered the Waterproof eyeliner by Essence which is less that 3 euros! No, this is not a joke. It is really that cheap! But the great thing is that this eyeliner has major staying power. One application in the morning will last you throughout the day.

As for my mascara I can keep it short and sweet. To create some voluminous lashes I rely on my ‘Maybelline Colossal smoky eyes’. This baby never seems to fail me.

To give my self that healthy glow, I use the cream blush by Max Factor. This might sound weird, but I sometimes use this on my lips as well. This creamy blush comes in a lot of beautiful shades, but the color soft pink is my current fave.

In the look you see here I only used a pink lipliner by HEMA (number 21). This gives me just a little pop of color and it has that lip stain kind of look. If my lips are a bit dry, I’ll just use a clear lip balm to moisturize them after applying the lipliner.

So there you have it…my winning team. If you’re using one of these products or if you have some great beauty secrets of your own. I would love to hear from you!
